Santander Spain Santander is a English town and port city, capital of the municipality, the current autonomy and historical community of Cantabria, located on the north coast of the Iberian Peninsula.
Santander Township borders the Santa Cruz de Camargo Bezana and also close to the north bay.
Santander is the only city Northern Spain coast facing south.
The old lamp in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento representing the four seasons.
The Santander Bank building is not symmetrical, because they are not built all at once. First it was the right, then sent to the arch and the left side, but lacks a balcony.
The villas located on the left of Paseo de Reina Victoria was built for the nobles and burghers who came to spend the summer with King Alfonso XIII of Spain.
The cross is next to the Faro de Cabo Mayor, is a monument to victims of Franco's fascist side killed during the English Civil War, thrown over the cliff by mandate of the Republican side.
En el Sardinero hay dos playas, llamadas la primera y la segunda. A la primera iba la nobleza y burguesía, y a la segunda el pueblo llano.
Justo al lado de donde estaba ubicada la estatua de Franco, en la Plaza del Ayuntamiento, estaba escondido bajo unos árboles el escudo de la Segunda República.
A la Playa de los Bikinis se le dio dicho nombre porque fue una playa que frecuentaban las estudiantes extranjeras que venían a estudiar a la Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo (UIMP) durante el verano. Ellas se ponían en bikini a tomar el sol, pero en Santander todavía no se había introducido esa moda, por lo que el acontecimiento llamaba la atención .
